Photograph album owned by architect Elizabeth B. Lord (1887-1976) containing carte de visite portraits of military officers from the Civil War, dating from circa 1860-1865. Subjects include Lew Wallace, Samuel Chapman Armstrong, and Major William P. Lord, Elizabeth's father. There are also some photographs of members of other members of the Lord family, including Juliette Montague Lord. Most of the portraits are unidentified.

Lewis "Lew" Wallace was born on April 10, 1827, in Brookville, Indiana. He was the second of four sons born to Esther French Wallace (née Test) and David Wallace.
